BJA: British Journal of Anaesthesia
|
Founded in 1923, one year after the first anaesthesia journal was published by the International Anaesthesia Research Society, the BJA remains the oldest and largest independent journal of anaesthesia. It became the official journal of The College of Anaesthetists in 1990. The College was granted a Royal Charter in 1992. Although there are educational links between the BJA and the College, the journal retains editorial independence. For further information please see the BJA homepage.

Accreditation Statement
To complete a course successfully, 80% of questions must be answered correctly. CME within the BJA is accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthestists. To obtain the CME certificate for your e-portfolio, please complete a course evaluation after you have passed the course.
Credit Designation Statement
Each course is associated with two RCoA CME credits.
Intended Audience
The intended audience comprises anaesthetists and others involved in anaesthesia, critical care and pain.
Objectives
The questions affirm knowledge of the topics covered, and participants should be able to evaluate the appropriateness of the clinical information as it applies to the provision of patient care.
Faculty disclosure
Authors are required to disclose all activities and relationships that, if known to others, might be viewed as a conflict of interest. Any such author disclosures are published with the relevant CME article.
