The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine, 2nd edition, is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) for external Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.

Each chapter has an associated test which consists of at least twelve multiple choice questions. Upon successful completion of each test, users will be able to download a certificate giving their name, date of completion and the number of CME credits gained. The pass mark for each test is 60%. Users are given the opportunity to retake tests if they do not pass the test.

Accreditation Statement

Upon successful completion, users will be able to claim two CME credit hours for each test. To claim CME credits users can download the certificate available at the end of the test and present this to CME bodies.

Faculty disclosure

EBAC works according to the quality standard of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). In compliance with EBAC/EACCME guidelines, all authors of accredited chapters have disclosed or indicated potential conflicts of interest which might cause a bias in the content.
