You can access Oxford e-learning if you have a personal subscription to the journals or if your library has a subscription.

1. Personal Subscribers

 

You will Need:

1. My Account registration
2. Your personal subscription number (e.g. to access BJA's e-Learning you will need an existing subscription to BJA)

1.1. Already registered with My Account?

Simply log in using your existing username and password

If you have forgotten your password ask us to send you a reminder

1.2. Not yet registered with My Account?

Complete a brief registration form

1.3. Not yet activated your online subscription?

Follow the instructions below:

1. Once you are logged in to My Account, select ‘Manage your subscriptions’
2. Enter the eight digit subscription number into the ‘Add a new subscription’
   • Your subscription number can be found on the address label of your journal. It may be preceded by '0000' on correspondence. If you do not know your subscription number please contact Oxford Journals Customer Service at Jnls.Cust.Serv@oup.com who will be happy to assist you.
3. Then click ‘Add subscription’

 

2. Institutional Subscribers

 

You will need:

1. My Account registration (see details above)
2. Institutional access to the journal you wish to take courses for (e.g. to access BJA’s e-learning you will need access to BJA)
3. Promotional codes (which your librarian will request from Oxford Journals Customer Services and then supply to you)
4. To activate your promotional codes

2.1. How to Get Promotional Codes

You will need to ask your librarian to request promotional codes from Oxford Journals Customer Services.

You will need to ask your librarian to provide Oxford Journals with the following information:

1. Institution name
2. The title(s) of the journal(s) you would like to activate Oxford e-learning for
3. Subscription number(s)
4. The number of promotional codes you would like
5. Your ‘My Account’ username

Your Librarian will then be able to contact Oxford Journals Customer Services to obtain promotional codes for your use.

Promotional codes will be distributed at your librarian’s discretion in order to provide access to courses.

2.2.  How to activate your promotional codes

1. Log into Oxford e-learning using your My Account login
2. Select the ‘promotional code’ tab
3. Use the ‘Add another code’ button to type or paste in the code allocated to you. This code may only be claimed once, the status of the code will display as ‘used’
4. Products, courses, and tests allocated to you will now be displayed in ‘My Portfolio’
5. For any problems with regards to promotional codes please contact Oxford Journals Customer Services

3. Non Subscribers

 

What to do if you do not have access to the journal you wish to take CME courses for?

Either:

3.1.  Take out a subscription

1. Go to the Oxford Journals Homepage
2. Select the journal of your choice from the list
3. Click 'subscriptions' at the top of the page
4. Go to the 'personal subscribers' and select 'add to basket'

OR:

3.2 Recommend that your library takes out a subscription to the journal

4. Promotional Codes for Oxford e-Learning

 

Promotional codes are used to allow access to content (in this case Oxford e-learning courses).

Members of organisations which subscribe to titles can be authenticated against their organisational subscription by use of these codes.

4.1 Instructions for Librarians

You may request a number of promotional codes to provide access to Oxford Journals e-learning content for your library users.

Please contact Oxford Journals Customer Services to request promotional codes, providing the following information:

1. Institution name
2. The title(s) of the journal(s) you would like to activate CME for
3. Subscription number(s)
4. The number of promotional codes you would like
5. Your 'My Account' username

Oxford Journals will create and send promotional codes to you which may then be distributed among library users.

You may view these codes by logging into the Oxford e-learning site and selecting the ‘promotional code’ tab.
