InnovAiT is a journal for Associates in Training (AiTs) of the Royal College of General Practitioners that promotes excellence in primary care and quality education. Rotating through the whole new curriculum for the nMRCGP on a three year cycle, InnovAiT supports and assists learning and development for general practice.
Each issue covers two clinical themes, and one non-clinical area alongside a news section highlighting important new policies, research and guidelines affecting GPs. In addition to this, the Journal has two regular columns: 'From the.....' providing guidance from GPs at different stages of their careers, and a column on exam tips for the nMRCGP. The Journal also features 'applied knowledge test' questions and welcomes contributions from AiTs and GPs based on their experiences of training and on other subjects that would be relevant to the readership.
Published monthly, print and online access to InnovAiT is a benefit of AiT membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Associates in Training of the RCGP receive a free subscription to the journal as part of their AiT membership of the College. Special rates are available for other RCGP members.

InnovAiT publishes Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) questions with each issue of the journal. Each set of questions, or test, is based on the themes covered in that issue and will expire within 36 months of its online publication, to ensure that the questions are based on up-to-date evidence and reflect current best practice.
Intended Audience
The questions are aimed at GPs at all levels from ST1 and ST2 trainees, through GP registrars to trained GPs and GP trainers. The questions are written by an experienced general practitioner in consultation with InnovAiT's editorial team, and are subject to peer-review before publication.
Objectives
The questions are designed to test the takers' ability to apply their knowledge of the topics covered in the journal to the challenging scenarios encountered in primary care.
